Цели 15 последователи на Майнц 05 към този момент прекратиха участието си в клуба, тъй като в него играели доста тъмнокожи футболисти. Преди към десетина дни един почитател обществено съобщи, че не желае повече да бъде асоцииран с отбора, откакто той излезе с 9 тъмнокожи играчи за дуел от Бундеслигата. От Майнц оповестиха, че към днешна дата други 14 ентусиасти са го последвали.

A White supporter of German club, Mainz (where Cameroonian Kunde Malong plays), has cancelled his club membership because there are many Blacks in the team! The fan wrote, " For several months now I have been unable to identify myself with this club (professional football).
