Борисов и Кралев се срещнаха с Горан Джокович
Министър-председателят Бойко Борисов и министърът на младежта и спорта Красен Кралев се срещнаха с Горан Джокович - новият турнирен шеф на Sofia Open. На диалога участваха ръководителят на Българската федерация по тенис Стефан Цветков и зам.-председателят на УС на Федерацията Рангел Марков.
Горан Джокович съобщи на Борисов специфични поздрави, тенис ракета и топки с подпис от името на племенника си Новак Джокович, с който министър председателят се познава персонално.
По време на срещата беше разисквано идното домакинство на България на влиятелния тенис шампионат. За четвърти път страната ни ще бъде хазаин на шампионат от календара на Асоциацията на професионалните тенисисти (ATP). Горан Джокович е в България, с цел да наблюдава организацията на конкуренцията, която стартира на 3 февруари 2019 година в “Арена Армеец”.

Чичото на тенисист номер едно в света съобщи пред българския министър председател, че се чака шампионатът да бъде един от най-силните в категорията АТP 250 през 2019 година По думите му, това огромно спортно събитие ще сплоти феновете на тениса на Балканите. Той направи параленост сред обединяването на България, Сърбия, Румъния и Гърция за семейството на Мондиал 2030 година “Видяхме по какъв начин министър председателите на няколко страни на Балканите планирате взаимно домакинство на огромни футболни шампионати, за какво да не бъде по този начин и в тениса. София може да бъде центърът на тази идея”, сподели Джокович.
Според Горан Джокович се чака София да посрещне едни от най-хубавите играчи сега – Качанов, Циципас и Медведев, както и опитните тенисисти Вавринка и Монфис. Според турнирния шеф на шампионата се чака и Новак Джокович да се включи в Sofia Open.
