The Ministry of Transport and Communications has published for public discussion changes to Ordinance H-32 on periodic inspections to check the technical condition of road vehicles. The Ordinance is published on the website of MTS and in the Public Consultation Portal of the Council of Ministers - https://strategy.bg/ for a period of 30 days. We remind you that by order of the Minister of Transport and Communications, Georgi Gvozdeikov, a working group was formed to review the texts of Ordinance H-32. The experts` conclusion is that malfunctions related to exhaust gas emissions do not directly affect road safety. Until now, these malfunctions were classified as " dangerous " and vehicles were stopped from moving. With the current changes in Ordinance H-32, it is envisaged that malfunctions regarding emissions in the exhaust gases from motor vehicles will be classified as " significant ". In this case, vehicle owners are given a period of time to remove them, after which they undergo a technical inspection again. Another change in the Ordinance provides that the period for removal from 14 days will become 30 days.
