NEC actively participates in the market for Guarantees of Origin and will provide higher liquidity
The Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (IBEX) informs that the National Electricity Company (NEC) is now a registered active participant in the " Guarantees of Origin " market segment.
As a result of this partnership, from August all guarantees of origin owned by NEC will be offered through the IBEX platform and auctions for sale. NEC's active participation in this segment will contribute to higher liquidity and activity in the market.
The partnership with NEK is part of IBEX's efforts to work towards the development of a transparent, reliable and efficient market for trading in guarantees of origin. The Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange launched the market for trading in Guarantees of Origin as part of the efforts to develop the liberalized electricity market. The market is managed in partnership with the Bulgarian Energy Agency (AEDA) and its establishment is in accordance with Directive (EC) 2018/2001 on the promotion of renewable energy.
