SORAVIA has entered into an agreement to utilize significant part of the site of the former Kremikovtzi
SRED, the CEE and SEE branch of SORAVIA, a leading international real estate developer from Austria, has entered into an agreement with Fibank, Bulgaria, to utilize significant part of the site of the former Kremikovtzi steelworks in northern Sofia. As part of a multi-year leasing agreement, SORAVIA has acquired approx. 40 percent of the 7.7 million m² area.
The aim is to populate Kremikovtzi with industrial, logistical, commercial and infrastructure companies in order to give the region new economic impetus. Initial talks with international industrial companies are already underway.
A closed industrial area with an empty space of this size in the immediate vicinity of a large city, is unique in the EU. The existing industrial-grade infrastructure, the excellent transport connections and the size of the plot are making it attractive for large scale industrial and logistics development. A modern industrial and logistics park with ecologically clean, high-tech production facilities is the best use of the former metallurgical plant site.
