Всяка година 19 октомври ще бъде прочут като " The Rock Day " във Ванкувър, Канада.

Дуейн Джонсън се похвали в Instagram, като разгласява малко видео по какъв начин кметът Робъртсън му връчва плакет, с който в града публично ще има ден на Скалата.
It’s official: The Rock Day. Such a cool (and bad ass) honor to have the Mayor of Vancouver, Gregor Robertson, present this proclamation to me last night on set. I’m a grateful man to be in the business of making big movies and entertainment that serve multiple purposes around the world. One of those critical purposes is providing jobs for thousands of hard working people, local businesses and economies every time we bring a production to town. Jobs and opportunities for people. And free waffles for me. Thank you Mayor and your staff for being so gracious and welcoming to myself and our entire production crew to your city. And thank you for this honor and thanks for being such a cool guy. Vancouver will always hold a special place in my DNA. Причината за огромното самопризнание е в тясната връзка на артиста с Ванкувър. С негова помощ огромна част от филмите, в които взе участие, са снимани точно тук. Това отваря доста работни места и работи удобно на стопанската система на града.
През август още веднъж в обществената мрежа Дуейн Джонсън показа какъв брой е завързан към града, макар че тъкмо там е комплициран завършек на фантазиите му за кариера в американския футбол. Но всяко зло било за положително, тъй като по-късно той е стартирал кариерата си в кеча, която го направи международно прочут.
Sometimes the goal we've worked our ass off for years is never achieved. Then years later we look back and realize, it's the best thing that NEVER happened.

В момента Джонсън снима най-новият си филм " Skyscraper " още веднъж във Ванкувър. Очаква се екшънът да излезе в кината в средата на идната година.
Woke up at 4am to read this new draft of #Skyscraper. Very strong and big hat tip to our writer/director @rawsonthurber for bringing the high quality heat. As Hollywood insiders know (as well as many of you) this was the script that became an extremely hot property when it set off a bidding war last year with the studios. Winner of that bidding dance was Legendary and Universal Studios. Think DIE HARD meets TOWERING INFERNO inside of the world's tallest skyscraper... in CHINA. Character prep begins now and we'll begin production in August after we wrap #Rampage. Motivated to make a great one. For the record, I keep my pen close when reading scripts because I like to make intellectualized notes, but in reality I just doodle and draw unicorns. I will now go destroy my morning workout.
