A citizen filed a report to Iskra.bg about an unregulated landfill near Tsarevo Municipality
Todor Bogdanov , a supporter of „ Unity “ (Edinenie) party, has filed a report to the Regional Inspectorate of Environmental Protection -Burgas about the presence of an unregulated landfill in the area of the village of Rezovo , Tsarevo Municipality.
„ Walking in the area of the village, I came across an illegal landfill, which I assume is such, since there are no fences, “, Bogdanov told Iskra.bg. He also sent photographic material to support his claims.
The Regional Inspectorate for Environmental Protection-Burgas reacted quickly to the report. In its official response the inspection stated:
„ In relation to your report, I would like to inform you that on 17 April 2024 an inspection was carried out by experts of the Regional Inspectorate of Environmental Protection – Burgas, regarding the unregulated contamination with construction and biodegradable waste in the area of the village of Rezovo. “
During the inspection , it was established that „ in front of the village of Rezovo on the left on a dirt road along the river in an area at a distance of about 2 acres, there is unauthorized dumping of construction and biodegradable waste “.
The institution has instructed the Municipality of Tsarevo to take measures to solve the problem within a certain period of time, after which control by the Regional Inspectorate of Environmental Protection of Burgas will follow.
