“Today, by the end of the day, we will release a signal to the SANS, with which we will demand that Dimitar Radev be investigated for committing high treason. ”

With these words the chairman of “Revival ” Kostadin Kostadinov opened today’s briefing to the media against the BNB governor . The reason – his statement the previous day, in which Radev said that he already had information from the upcoming convergence report of the European Commission, although Bulgaria does not have official access to the document before June 4.

According to Kostadinov, this self-confession is not just unacceptable arrogance , but direct evidence of unauthorised contacts with foreign or supranational structures and possible leaks of sensitive state information.

“We do not know where Radev got this information. But we know that we, the Bulgarian citizens, the MPs, do not have it. So it comes from somewhere else and it means that it goes somewhere else – that is treason. ”

The chairman of “Revival ” stressed that if such behaviour was happening in the European Parliament , it would be subject to strict control and scrutiny.

“Every MEP there is obliged to register all his meetings, including informal talks, with representatives of other countries or institutions. Here? Silence. Protectionism. Institutional umbrella. ”

Asked whether he trusted the State Agency “National Security ” to conduct an objective investigation, he was clear:

“We have no illusions. State Agency “National Security ” is a drilled institution. If at all there are people there who are working conscientiously, they will not be allowed into this case. But we are doing it because it is our duty – our duty to the Bulgarian people. ”

Kostadin Kostadinov also recalled a series of attempts for an official meeting with the Bulgarian National Bank governor, which were met with complete ignoring, even with a police signal .

“We went 10 people – MPs – to the Bulgarian National Bank building and waited patiently for more than an hour. Instead of accepting us, Radev called the police and filed a report with the prosecutor’s office that we had asked for a meeting with him. This is unprecedented behaviour towards the third largest parliamentary force. ”

Kostadinov left no doubt about Radev’s political affiliations , saying he has long served the interests of GERB and European elites.

“This is no secret to anyone. But even out of kumbaya shame, when you ask for a meeting with one of the highest-ranking state officials, he is obliged to respond. Radev not only refuses meetings, he hides. Why is he hiding if he has nothing to hide? ”

Kostadinov concluded, “We ask – what exactly is Radev giving? Who are these people he is communicating with? When? Where? These are questions that we will not leave unanswered. ”

It is expected that in the next few days “Revival ” will submit an official parliamentary question to ask for the declassification of the correspondence and meetings of the Bulgarian National Bank governor in recent months, in the context of the euro adoption process .
