On June 29, 2018, the Council of Ministers adopted the decision No. 447 in question, which in turn repealed the previous government decision - No. 250 of 2012, which in turn repealed Decision No. 259 of 2005, on the designation of an energy site " Nuclear plant at the Belene site as an object of national importance and for the construction of a nuclear plant at the Belene site, to conduct negotiations with potential investors and equipment manufacturers.
