On social networks, public figure Emil Peychev expressed his indignation on the subject:

On this occasion, Iskra.bg asked Peychev for a comment on the case. He said:

„ I was very surprised how much money they put into the plan-account. BGN 917,000 must be paid to the builder and BGN 30,000 for the project, which swells the amount to nearly BGN 950,000. Only for a street on which it was not necessary to make repairs, but priority should have been given to many other sites that have a much more urgent need for investment and repair. It is clear why this section is being made, because the wife of Mr. Mayor is about to open a commercial outlet right there – Optics. It is currently being worked on very actively. Most likely, this is done to make something striking appear in front of this commercial establishment. At least that’s what we from the opposition think. “

The opposition in Tsarevo also proposed to send a donation of BGN 5,000 to the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey , but they were refused. According to Peychev, the reason is that „ the money from the taxes of the people of Tsarevo should not be wasted. “ He stated:

„ Almost all the municipalities of the Burgas region made a donation, and our GERB members put such a shame on us with their refusal. They will spend BGN 950,000 to repair a hundred-meter street, but they cannot allocate BGN 5,000 for people in need. “

„ We received the refusal for the victims, because the report was entered by the opposition, not by the colleagues from GERB. This is the main reason. Every one of our intentions, no matter how good it is, they don’t accept it, “, Peychev said firmly.
