Experts discussed a ban on electricity exports, to demand an exception and return municipalities to the regulated market

A ban on the export of electricity or the return of municipalities to the regulated market was discussed on BTV by energy expert Elenko Bozhkov and Vanya Grigorova from Podkrepa. On the energy crisis: We are talking about European rules, but it is high time we asked for an exception from the EU, says Elenko Bozhkov. According to him, however, restricting exports will be difficult and contrary to European rules. Bozhkov believes that municipalities and social institutions should be returned to the regulated supplier or that the definition of the final supplier of electricity should be changed in order to reduce electricity prices for these public services. The energy expert pointed out that part of the business supports the export of electricity because of the generation of profits from which to pay compensation. The government has made two mistakes - the moratorium and the reduction of the number of EWRC members, as well as the change of the rules for appointment. According to Bozhkov, the change in Bulgargaz is correct, but it is too late. However, it states that it is a prerequisite for improving the situation and negotiating better prices for blue fuel. The energy expert commented that Kozloduy NPP is managed as a " fatherland " and that serious crimes and thefts are committed there. Both the Minister of Energy and the head of BEH have been informed about these abuses and are just the tip of the iceberg of everything that is happening there, if they do not take measures they will become complicit in these violations, Bozhkov said. As consumers, shifts and castlings would not be of direct importance to us, but it is important what happens to electricity prices for consumers, said Vanya Grigorova. " We all know that the electricity produced in the country is enough to cover its needs. I do not know about limiting the export of electricity, but the government must come to a decision. This is one of the demands that the unions made to the Tripartite Cooperation Council. This is the elephant in the room that can destroy all the plans that we as unions and the government are making to raise incomes and social policy, Grigorova added.
