Radev: In my opinion, this mandate is discredited. Academician Denkov: Bulgaria needs a stable government

President Rumen Radev hands a second exploratory mandate to a candidate for Prime Minister from the party group of „ We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria “ academician Nikolay Denkov. The head of state said:

“Dear academician Denkov, first of all I want to express my personal respect for you, knowing you in your capacity as minister of service in several administrations, and also to express my full understanding of the delicacy of the situation in which we find ourselves at the moment. As president and commander-in-chief, I am directly involved in national security and called to defend Bulgarian statehood. Here I want to state that you have won this, I inappropriately on my part to hand you a mandate in the situation of the leaked records and entrust the fate of Bulgaria in the hands of your party after the leaked records and the subsequent public confessions about the torpedoing of Bulgarian sovereignty. ”

The head of state is critical of the leaked information about planned purges in the services and administration in our country. He continues:

“The defamation and planning of a purge in the offices and state administration, the request for interference in the elections and the discrediting of the leaders of the European authorities and the name of Bulgaria. But I am called to defend the Constitution and by virtue of it I am obliged to deliver this mandate. Its utilization is a constitutional right, but in the name of preserving the rest of the trust in the political system, of preserving your dignity and the image of Bulgaria – You are calling to reconsider the whole expediency of the utilization of this mandate, which, in my opinion, has already been discredited ”, said the head of state.

Denkov, for his part, pointed out that Bulgaria needs a stable government .

“A government that will solve people’s problems and that will resolutely advance Bulgaria’s European path. Bulgaria also needs a stable parliament. Most urgent is the adoption of the budget, on which depend salaries, pensions, capital expenditure, road repairs, schools, kindergartens and hospitals, and without a budget these cannot happen. Therefore, it is very important that the parliament continues and works regularly and takes its decisions ”, he pointed out.
