iBanFirst launches iBanPay, its new AI assistant for automatic invoice processing
● Benefits: iBanPay helps finance teams save time, reduce errors, and focus on higher-value tasks by reading international invoices, extracting the key information and automatically populating all payment fields.
● Local availability: In the first quarter of 2026, iBanPay will launch in Bulgaria, giving SMEs and larger companies a smarter way to manage invoices and payments.
For Bulgarian SMEs, invoices still mean manual work. According to the latest NSI[1] data, only 15.8% of enterprises send structured e-invoices, with adoption rates of 14.7% among small, 18.9% among medium, and 30.7% among large companies. Across Europe[2], the figures reach 37%, 44%, and 59.8% respectively showing that SME digitalisation in this area remains at an early stage. To make life easier for its clients, iBanFirst, a leading provider of foreign exchange and international payment services for businesses, is launching iBanPay: an AI assistant that automatically turns user invoices into payment orders. Acting as a true right-hand to finance teams, it minimises errors resulting from manual data entry and makes payment processes faster, more reliable, and more efficient.
In the first quarter of 2026, iBanPay will also be available in Bulgaria. “We are here to support Bulgarian businesses in their international growth. ” said Dean Todorov, Country Manager Bulgaria at iBanFirst. “iBanPay will make a real difference: it saves precious time, reduces errors, and simplifies cross-border payments. That’s especially valuable for SMEs, where every hour counts. By removing the burden of manual invoice processing, we give companies the freedom to focus on what truly drives them forward — expanding their business and seizing new opportunities. ”
The tool iBanPay automatically reads international invoices—no matter the language or format—and extracts the key information automatically populating all payment fields. All the user needs to do is securely verify and approve the payment order on the platform. Execution then occurs in real time, allowing the entire process to be monitored, from receipt of the invoice to receipt of payment by the beneficiary.
“With iBanPay, iBanFirst takes another step forward in automating its platform. ” added Dimitri Rodrigues, Chief Product Officer at iBanFirst. “We’ve had a dedicated team working on it for over a year, collaborating closely with an exclusive client community to make it as seamless as possible. In fact, clients who have adopted it already use it for more than 40% of their invoices. ”
“After becoming the go-to alternative for international payments, iBanFirst is writing a new chapter. iBanPay doesn’t just save our 10,000 clients valuable time. It has the expertise to establish itself as a true co-pilot for accountants and finance teams. ” stated Pierre-Antoine Dusoulier, CEO & Founder of iBanFirst.
In 2024, iBanFirst achieved €65 million in revenue, confirming its rapid growth and its position as a leading player for international business payments.
