Bulgarian company euShipments acquired a Slovakian competitor

The Ruse-based logistics company euShipments, which once again entered the elite FT 1000 annual ranking of the Financial Times, acquired one more firm in the Central and Eastern Europe region. The Bulgarian company has bought the Slovakian-based Swiss Point Data, with the aim of strengthening its position on the Old Continent.

The deal has officially been finalized, but its value has not been disclosed.
What is Swiss Point Data?
Swiss Point Data is based in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, though its headquarters are located about 30 km from the city - in Senec. The location provides it with a strategic fast connection to the whole of Central Europe - and in particular to Austria, Hungary and Poland.

It has 20 years of experience in logistics solutions for e-commerce and is among the leaders in that field in Slovakia.
Expansion
Last year, euShipments also acquired the Croatian Pick&Pack and the Romanian Helpship.

Until recently, these companies were our competitors and now they are our strategic partners and part of the euShipments group ", commented the executive manager Svetlozar Dimitrov.

The deal is part of a wider M&A strategy to internationalize euShipments by establishing leading positions in key markets in Central and Eastern Europe. This expansion strategy is supported by the Sofia-based private investment firm BlackPeak Capital, which in early 2022 invested around 7.5 million euros in the Bulgarian logistics company.
