The Eberspächer plant in Ruse changes ownership
Eberspächer - the German manufacturer of heating and air conditioning systems for the automotive industry is selling its factory in the Bulgarian city of Ruse. The new factory was commissioned in early 2023, producing electric heaters for both conventional vehicles, hybrids and electric vehicles.
Now the company is selling the facility to the Austrian GG Group.
" In the fall of 2023, Eberspächer approached a company from Austria that had an urgent need for production facilities in Ruse and ended up taking over the site under construction with a plan to finalize it for its own needs. The Eberspächer team of over 100 employees at the plant will continue working as before, " the company specified in a response to Economic.bg query.
The project was given to another company, but regardless, Ruse remains an important location for electric vehicle heating systems for Eberspächer, " responded Eberspächer.
The German company planned to double production in 2024, and the change in ownership will not affect that.
" Ruse is now established as the third most important European location for Eberspächer for the production of electric car heaters, after Herxheim, Germany and Olava, Poland, " the company added.
