By decree of the Council of Ministers of June 24, 2022, published in the State Gazette, rates are introduced for the second-class road network. Hitherto the rate for second class roads was zero cents. A gradual increase in toll fees for cars over 3.5 tons has also been approved - from July 1 of this year and from January 1, 2023, the Road Infrastructure Agency recalls. Cars between 3.5 and 12 tons, depending on their eco-category, will pay between 6 and 9 cents per kilometer traveled on the highway. The tariff for traffic on first-class roads will be between 5 and 8 cents per kilometer, and for second-class roads - between 2 and 3 cents. For these vehicles, from January 1, 2023, the rates will be between 10 and 13 cents for a highway, between 6 and 9 cents for a first-class road, and between 4 and 7 cents per kilometer for second-class roads, respectively. From July 1, cars over 12 tons, which have 2 or 3 axles, according to their eco-category, will pay between 16 and 20 cents for the highway. The payment for passing on a first-class road will be between 13 and 17 cents per kilometer, and on second-class roads - between 9 and 11 cents. For these trucks, the tariff from January 1, 2023 will be from 26 to 30 cents per kilometer of motorway travel, between 22 and 25 cents for first-class roads and between 19 and 23 cents for second-class roads. For cars over 12 tons with 4 or more axles, the price per kilometer from July 1 of this year will be within the limits of 15 cents for a second-class road for a vehicle category EURO VI, EEV and 32 cents for categories EURO 0, I, II at highway travel. From January 1 next year, the price will be 29 cents for a second-class road for the highest Euro class and 43 cents for a kilometer on the highway for a truck category EURO 0, I, II. According to the vehicle category and road class, buses between 3.5 and 12 tons will pay between 1 and 5 cents per kilometer from July 1, and between 2 and 8 cents from January 1 next year. Those weighing more than 12 tons - between 2 and 6 cents/km from July and between 3 and 9 cents/km from next year. Starting January 1, 2023, the prices of all vignettes will be reduced by 10%. The most preferred e-vignette – the annual one, will cost 87 BGN instead of the current 97 BGN. The price of the quarterly vignette will be 48 BGN instead of 54 BGN, the monthly one – 27 BGN instead of 30 BGN, the weekly one – 13 BGN instead BGN 15, and the weekend vignette – BGN 9 instead of BGN 10.
