" Манчестър Юнайтед " понесе тежък финансов удар. В рамките единствено на една нощ клубът поевтиня с 300 млн. паунда на стоковата борса в Ню Йорк. Цената на акция в 20-кратния първенец на Англия падна до най-ниската си стойност от октомври 2017 година насам - от 15,58 до 14,22 паунда.
Въпреки големия спад, управлението на " Юнайтед " не е обезпокоеното от обстановката. Собствениците - семейство Глейзър, отдават поевтиняването по-скоро на пазара, а не толкоз на слабите резултати.
" Манчестър Юнайтед " заема осмото място във краткотрайното класиране на Висшата лига, при 12 изиграни кръга. " Червените дяволи " са изгубили половината си турнирни мачове от началото на сезона, а последното им проваляне бе изключително мъчително. В същото време в " Юнайтед " заплащат с 10% повече за заплати спрямо края на предишния сезон. За последните три месеца клубът изплаща 77 млн. паунда - нарастване със 7,1 млн. паунда по отношение на предходния тримесечен интервал. Това значи, че през актуалната акция Специалния и селекцията му ще проработят към 308 млн. паунда.
Приходите на клуба пък са спаднали, само че това се дължи по-скоро на съкратената предсезонна подготовка поради международното състезание.
