Клубовете от Серия " А " са похарчили 1.14 милиарда евро за покупки на нови играчи това лято. Това е второ достижение след тимовете от Висшата лига на Англия, които са платили 1.42 милиарда евро за нови футболисти.

През предходната година италианските клубове похарчиха 907 милиона евро за прехвърляния, тъй че сегашната сума е връх. Всяка година в Италия се заплащат все по-големи суми за прехвърляния.

През 2014 година са били 335 милиона, 2015-а - 608.8 милиона, а 2016-а - 707.35 милиона евро.

Най-големи суми за прехвърляния е похарчил " Ювентус " - 250 милиона евро, най-много поради привличането на португалската звезда Кристиано Роналдо от " Реал " Мадрид. На второ място е " Рома " със 136 милиона евро.
